How do I download the latest postage rates on the Mailbase+?
On a Mailmark Mailbase+, a balance check prompts the machine to download and install the latest Royal Mail rates.
- Check the system is connected as for a normal refill (LAN or PC Meter Connect).
- At the main screen, press the Refill Postage key.
- Select Check PbP Balance, then Continue, and press Enter if prompted.
- The machine downloads and installs the rates, showing status messages.
- When finished, follow any prompts until you return to the main screen – do not switch off until it is done.
- If asked to reconnect for a further upload or download, reconnect and follow the prompts.
Note: Around a rate change the servers are busy – if the update does not complete, try again or run it outside peak times.

How do I update the postage rates on my Mailbase+?
Press Refill Postage, select Check PbP Balance, then Continue, and the machine downloads and installs the new rates.
When do Royal Mail rates change?
Royal Mail usually updates prices at least once a year. Run a balance check on or after the change date and the new rates download automatically.
Why will the rate update not download on my Mailbase+?
The servers are busy around a rate change. Check your connection and try again, or run it outside peak times.
