How to download & update the latest postage rates
Watch this video to learn how to update the latest postage rates on your Parcelsend Lite franking machine.
Please follow the following instructions:
1. Check that your system is connected as for a normal postage refill
2. At the main screen (Date on display) press the ‘Funds’ key.
3. Use the review ‘down’ key to scroll to ‘Check balance available?’
4. Press the ‘Yes/Enter’ key.
5. The machine will automatically connect to the PB Infrastructure.
6. Once the meter has connected it will show ‘Checking PBP Account Balances’.
7. The machine then shows ‘Prepaid £xx.xx’ (the balance of your PBP account).
8. Press the ‘Yes/Enter’ key to continue.
9. The meter then asks if you wish to Refill Postage. Press the ‘No’ key to continue.
10. The meter will check for updates and display ‘SYSTEM UPDATE REQUIRED – Please Wait’.
11. Press the ‘Yes/Enter’ key to download and install the new rates.
12. Once completed the display will read ‘Download complete Continue – press enter’
13. Press the ‘Yes/Enter’ key.
14. The display will then show ‘During the call: Rate data installed’
15. Press the ‘Yes/Enter’ key.
16. You will be asked ‘Do you want to print a download report?’
17. Press the ‘No’ key.
18. The machine will then return to the main screen. The new rates are now installed.
Please note: Due to the amount of updates being performed during this period you may need to repeat the above or try outside of busy / peak times.
Parcelsend Lite Rate Change Instructions – Frequently Asked Questions
How do I update postage rates on the Parcelsend Lite?
Press the Funds key, scroll to Check balance available and press Yes; once connected the machine prompts System update required – press Yes to download and install the new rates.
Do I need to update rates manually on the Parcelsend Lite?
Yes – run the rate download from the Funds menu when Royal Mail rates change, as the Parcelsend Lite does not update fully automatically.
Why has my Parcelsend Lite rate update failed?
During busy rate-change periods the servers are under load, so you may need to repeat the download or try again outside peak times.
