How do I check my PBP balance and funds on the Mailbase Speed?
- Press Refill Postage, then select Check PbP Balance – the machine connects and shows your Postage by Phone account. Select Continue to return home.
- To see funds on the machine, select Funds and scroll to Used and Unused – Unused is the balance available to use.
- To see recent refills, press Options, Reports, then Last 5 Refills, and feed an item to print them.
- For a full funds report, press Menu, Reports, Funds Report, and feed an envelope – it shows used, available, total pieces, control sum, batch count and serial number.
Note: Postage paid by BACS takes 4 to 5 working days to clear. Pay Postage by Phone using sort code 20-36-98, account 90792950, quoting your recrediting account number. Email the remittance to info@mailcoms.co.uk if funds are needed urgently.
How do I print a prepaid reply on the Mailbase Speed?
- From the home screen, press Select a Carrier.
- Select Royal Mail Domestic.
- Page down to Pre-Paid Reply and select it.
- Select 1st or 2nd Class.
- Select Letter or Large Letter.
Note: Prepaid reply is for letters only (not parcels), on Mailmark machines, up to 100g.
How do I make a surcharge payment on the Mailbase Speed?
- From the home screen, press Select a Carrier – Royal Mail and Surcharge are shown.
- Select Surcharge Payment, then select Surcharge again.
- At the Class Surcharge Option, enter the required value.
- Press the green Yes/Enter if correct (or red No to go back), then confirm the amount again – you can now print.
What do Error 7, 11 and 104 mean on the Mailbase Speed?
These appear when recrediting:
- Error 7: a hold on your postage account, usually from a lack of connection activity. Contact us on 01543 572776 or info@mailcoms.co.uk to release it.
- Error 11: a hold usually due to an unknown equipment location or unpaid invoices. Contact us on 01543 572776 or info@mailcoms.co.uk.
- Error 104: you are recrediting by an incorrect amount – the machine only recredits in increments of £10.00.
How do I manage paperless billing for my account?
Paperless billing and email notifications are managed in Your Account at pitneybowes.co.uk/signin under Billing & Financials.
- Go paperless: Billing & Financials → Paperless Billing → Go Paperless → Turn On Paperless For This Account.
- Return to paper: Paperless Billing → Edit Settings → Turn off Paperless. A £5 (excluding VAT) paper charge may apply.
- Billing email notifications: Billing & Financials → Billing Notifications, then use the toggles. If an account is paperless, notifications must stay on for at least one email address.
