  2. Press Menu, then Page Down.

How do I fix the ‘Invalid Preset’ message on the Mailbase Speed?

This appears when the machine cannot load the Normal Preset – often a scale issue, or because a class was removed in a Royal Mail rate change. First reseat the scale:

  1. Select Quit Presets to return to the home screen.
  2. Remove the scale, then replace it, making sure it is fitted properly and level.
  3. Press the Normal Preset key.

If the error returns, check the serial port setting:

  1. Select Load Partial Preset, then press Menu and select Setup.
  2. Page Down and select Serial Port, then Attached Scale.
  3. Press Custom Preset and select your preset, or press Normal Preset.

Note: If it still recurs, a class, ad or text message in your Normal Preset may no longer be available – select a new class and re-save the Normal Preset.
