Note: The accounting function must be activated before you can create accounts.
Creating an account
- Press Options once.
- Use the Review keys ▲▼ to scroll and select “Use Account Functions?”. Confirm with Enter/Yes.
- Scroll and select “Create an Account”. Confirm with Enter/Yes.
- Enter a name for the account using the number keys (press each key multiple times to select letters). Confirm with Enter/Yes.
- When asked “Assign Password?”, select No.
- The display shows “Account Created. Create another Account?” – select Yes to add more, or No to finish.
- When asked “Select an Account”, use the Review keys to choose the account you wish to use.
Editing an account name or password
- Press Options, scroll to “Use Account Functions?”, and confirm.
- Scroll to “Edit an Account” and confirm.
- Select the account you wish to edit and confirm.
- When asked “Change name account?”, confirm with Yes.
- Enter the new account name and confirm.
- When asked “Change Password?”, select No to skip, or Yes to update.
- Select No at “Stay in Accounting?” to return to the home screen.
Deleting an account
Note: Once an account is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
- Press Options, scroll to “Use Account Functions?”, and confirm.
- Scroll to “Delete an Account” and confirm.
- Select the account you wish to delete and confirm.
- At “Confirm: Delete?”, press Enter/Yes.
- Select No at “Delete another Account?” to finish, or Yes to delete another.
- Select No at “Stay in Accounting?” to return to the home screen.
How do I clear account totals on the Pitney Bowes DM60?
Note: Once an account total is reset, it cannot be re-established.
Clearing a single account total
- Press Options, scroll to “Use Account Functions?”, and confirm.
- Scroll to “Clear account value and pieces” and confirm.

- The display flashes “All accounts cleared”, then asks “Stay in accounting?”. Press Yes.

- Press Enter/Yes at “Change Lock Code”, enter a new four-digit code, and confirm. Re-enter to confirm.
- Press Clear at “Change Setting for Lock on Sleep”, then No to return to the home screen.
Disabling a lock code
- Press Menu / Options, scroll to “Change Setup?”, and confirm.
- Scroll to “Use Lock Code Setup?” and confirm.
- Enter the existing lock code and confirm.
- Scroll to “Turn lock off?” and press Enter/Yes. The machine confirms “Lock Code Disabled”.
