The Pitney Bowes DM475c franking machine was launched a couple of years ago and is a direct alternative to the Neopost IS480 with ‘Speedweigh’. At Mailcoms we have experience in supplying and servicing both machines. One of the first points to note is the IS480 is a ‘Modular’ franking machine wheras the DM 475c is a single machine that has the ‘in motion’ weighing and measuring as standard. We find that this results in a very reliable fully featured franking machine. Its full colour screen is clear, quick and responsive.
Running cost are average, you can get ink from Pitney Bowes for around £120 + vat for approx., 12000 prints. An important note we would advise is to stick to original genuine ink and rather than buying cheap compatibles that could damage your machine and affect your warranty.
With the Pitney Bowes DM475 Franking Machine you can store up to ten jobs for quick access to regular mail runs and the QWERTY keyboard with full colour display means that all staff can going in a very short time.
