DM60 Rate Change – Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my Pitney Bowes DM60 needs a rate update?
Your DM60 will prompt you with a SYSTEM UPDATE REQUIRED message when new rates are available. You can also manually trigger a rate check by connecting to Pitney Bowes via the Funds key.
What happens if I skip the rate update on my DM60?
If you continue using old rates after a Royal Mail price change, your machine will apply the incorrect postage. Royal Mail may not accept underfranked mail, so it is important to update promptly.
Why does the DM60 rate update fail or time out?
Rate update failures are usually caused by a network issue or high traffic on the Pitney Bowes servers around the time of a rate change. Ensure your LAN connection is stable and try again at a quieter time (e.g., early morning).
How often do I need to update postage rates on the DM60?
Royal Mail typically announces rate changes once or twice per year. Your DM60 will notify you automatically when an update is required.
