How do I clear a mail jam on the IN600?

If mail or a label jams in the base, lower the transport belts to release it.

Jammed mail:

  1. Pull the release handle underneath the base to lower the transport belts and wheels, and hold it.
  2. With your other hand, remove the jammed envelopes.
  3. Release the handle to return the belts and wheels to position.

Jammed label:

  1. Remove all labels from the dispenser and check none is stuck at the bottom.
  2. Pull the base release handle to lower the transport belts and wheels, and hold it.
  3. Remove the jammed label, then release the handle.

How do I clean the mail path and sealer on the IN600?

Clean the path sensors and the sealing brush and sponge regularly to prevent misfeeds and poor sealing.

Mail path sensors:

  1. Wipe the sensors with a damp cloth, or 70° alcohol on a cotton applicator.
  2. Let the parts dry, then close all covers and assemblies.

Sealer brush and sponge:

  1. Open the feeder and push the left of the upper blue release lever to raise the upper drive assembly.
  2. Pull up the brush release lever, raise the brush and lift out the brush holder assembly.
  3. Lift the metal retainer to remove the sponge, noting its direction.
  4. Clean the sponge and brush, then refit the sponge and retainer.
  5. Refit the brush and push the release lever down until it snaps into place.
  6. Push the upper drive assembly down until it locks.

How do I fill and adjust the envelope sealer on the IN600?

Keep the sealer bottle topped up and adjust the water flow if envelopes are not sealing well.

  1. Remove the bottle from its base and turn it over.
  2. Unscrew the cap and fill with water or sealing solution up to the limit marks.
  3. Screw the cap back on and refit the bottle.

Note: Adjust the sealing water with the back lever – push it left to increase the water level, or right to decrease it.


How do I change my address on the IN600 (update registration)?

If your business moves, contact your franking supplier first to update your details. They will send a USB key and instruct you to run the update registration procedure with the machine connected to the network.

  1. Log in as supervisor and press Menu.
  2. Select Maintenance and press OK.
  3. Select Processes and press OK, then press OK to confirm.
  4. Select Update Registration and press OK to begin.
  5. Connect the USB key when prompted and press OK.
  6. Select the new town die and press OK to install it.
  7. Enter the geodesic code when asked (see your user guide for allowed values) and press OK.
  8. Press Finish to return to the menu.

How do I log in and out of Supervisor mode on the IN600?

Supervisor mode is needed to configure the machine, manage accounts and run certain reports. You must exit Supervisor mode before printing postage.

  1. Press Menu.
  2. Select Supervisor and press OK.
  3. Type the supervisor PIN code and press OK.

Note: To exit, press the power key – the system sleeps and logs the supervisor out.


How do I adjust the IN600 display, sound and time settings?

Everyday preferences are set from the Preferences and Machine Settings menus.

  • Display contrast: Menu → Preferences → Contrast – use the arrow keys, then OK.
  • Beeps: Menu → Preferences → Sounds – tick Beep on key and/or Beep on error, then OK.
  • Time and date: Supervisor → Machine Settings → Date And Time → Audit Call to adjust automatically.

What other quick functions should I know on the IN600?

A few handy everyday functions:

  • Emergency stop: press the Stop button to halt the run process immediately.
  • Reset batch counters: Menu → Batch Settings → Start Batch Counters – select the counter and press OK.
  • Fill the label dispenser: stack labels print-side to the right with the peel-off tab on top, and push down until they click into place.
