How does the IN700 connect?
The IN700 connects through a high-speed LAN (local area network) to add postage and reach Online Services. LAN settings can only be configured if the machine was plugged into the network at power-up.
How do I set the Online Services connection on the IN700?
Choose the connection type from Communication Settings in Supervisor mode.
- Log in as supervisor.
- Press Menu.
- Select Communication Settings and press OK.
- Select Type of Connection and press OK.
- Select LAN and press OK.
Note: If the LAN was not plugged in you will see a warning – check the cable or device and press OK.
How do I set the LAN parameters on the IN700?
Use automatic configuration unless your network needs manual settings.
- Log in as supervisor.
- Press Menu.
- Select Communication Settings and press OK.
- Select LAN Settings and press OK.
- Select AUTO to configure automatically (recommended), or MANUAL to set values yourself.
- For a standard setup, set DHCP Auto on, DNS Auto on and Half Duplex, pressing OK to confirm.

How does the IN700 connect to add postage?
