Key Information – International Post
Mailcoms Support · International Post
Key information on sending international post, including when you can frank directly and when you must use the SPO portal for tracked or signed goods.
International Non-Tracked Postage
You can still use your franking machine for sending International mail that does not require tracking or signature services. This includes items without goods, such as personal correspondence and standard letters.
Tracked or Signed Services
For International Tracked, Signed, or Tracked & Signed services (required for sending goods), you need to use an Online (SPO) portal. This is essential for generating electronic advanced data (EAD) and complying with EU Import Control System 2 (ICS2) regulations.
ICS2 Compliance
Any International mail containing goods must include:
- Completed customs declarations (CN22 or CN23).
- Associated EAD submitted via an approved platform like SPO. Failure to comply could lead to delays, returns, or destruction of the parcel.
